The Suicide Machines have a new album coming out on March 27th, this is one of their new songs from it. I'm quite excited to hear what they have in store for us!
I've been a big fan of their music for a few decades now and if I remember correctly the first song I ever heard by them was New Girl. It was part of the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater Soundtrack which was wicked! A leader in the fusion of the punk, ska and hardcore genres leading to ska punk being a genre of its own, they have a unique sound and feel to their music.
They were playing on The Warped Tour in 2000, but I'm unsure if they made it to Calgary where I went. As time went by they definitely became a little more political of a band making sure people were well aware of their disdain for Bush.
They wound up breaking up from 2006-2009, but now in 2020 they're finally releasing a new album and I hope it's a solid addition to their discography...
New Girl will always be my favorite song by them, but they have quite a few songs I really like. Kaleidoscope, Permanent Holiday, 95% of the world is third world, I went on tour and One More Time are equally epic and have been in my personal playlists for years.
